Distance Learning POD Program
Beyond the classroom
What is a Distance Learning POD?
We have created classrooms at the Club to support stable PODs of up to 12 children (following state and county guidelines) giving students a space with peers to complete online distance learning.
We will be supporting the curriculum provided by your student’s school with a teacher on-site to be available when questions arise and lead enrichment programs to supplement distance learning.
The program will support children in Kindergarten through 8th grade and offer after-school extracurricular programs featuring world-class sports and fitness programs. View a Sample Schedule
HEALTH & SAFETY FIRST
To ensure the safest-possible environment for participants, the Bay Club has a comprehensive COVID-19 Operations Procedures Manual, that outlines all of our Health and Safety Guidelines. In addition, we continue to work closely with our county officials on the latest updates to ensure that we create safe spaces for all our members.
Partnering with the best

Sports and Recess
We know that sitting in front of a screen all day is not great for any child. With our Distance Learning Program, students will enjoy time for recess and outdoor recreation and can participate in top-rated sports clinics and fitness activities.

Choices make us happy. Whether schools reopen, stay closed, or a hybrid of both, our PODS have been created to accommodate every scenario. Parents can choose from:
*8:00 am – 6:00 pm - full-day.
A combination of distance learning with afterschool activities included.
Parents have the choice to change pick-up times daily
*Afterschool sports clinics, fitness classes and tutoring
Rolling enrollment with a confirmation of POD space 24-48 hours before start date.

School-Aged Development
In partnership with Champions—a division of KinderCare Education, this program focuses on developing the whole child—giving each child the skills they need to excel socially, emotionally, physically, and most important, intellectually. Children will be in stable PODS for each session and receive support with remote learning as well as an enriching before and after school programs that include STEAM and physical fitness education.

Learning Monitoring and Enrichment and Physical Education
No classroom? No problem! We are here to support your student with on-site Distance Learning PODS set up in our expansive sports resorts and athletic clubs. Students will follow and complete their school’s distance learning curriculum, with support and guidance from our on-site teachers and facilitators. In addition to monitoring online learning, your middle schooler will participate in extracurricular programs that include athletic and sports clinics. “School days” will be followed by P.E. classes led by our Bay Club professionals in activities ranging from tennis to swim, dodgeball, and capture the flag—allowing your kid, to just be a kid.

Childcare
The in-club childcare centers are engaging, safe spaces where kids are free to be kids. Our caring and attentive staff lead activities that promote socialization, creativity, and character-building—all in a stimulating and playful environment. Childcare is available in 2-hour sessions, in stable PODS, for members only (complimentary for family memberships). Parents must remain on property. (Session length may vary by location)

Athletic Clinics
Join in a 2-hour session, weekdays led by our Bay Club professional staff. We’ll provide a fun and safe environment for your child to play sports, and participate in friendly competition with their peers. With activities ranging from pickleball to soccer, and freeze tag to volleyball—we’re providing them with an alternative to school P.E. (we won’t make them run the mile or square dance!).
