strength in shared stories

ALS may have touched our community in many different ways, and we want to hear how ALS has impacted your life or someone close to you. Our goal is to connect the Bay Club community through shared experiences with ALS—honoring the human stories that matter most and our shared mission to find a cure.

“ALS took my dad in six short months. Sharing his story is one way I can continue to fight back.”
- Brenna
“My mother got ALS at 47 and I was 15 years old and watched her die over the next two years in such a sad and devastating way.”
- Julia G
“Manga was diagnosed in 2011, and in the summer of 2014, we lost that sweet smile to ALS. I want to participate in the fight for a cure.”
- Carter
“Scott was diagnosed with Bulbar-onset ALS, an aggressive form of ALS that affects the motor neurons in the brainstem, causing early, severe dysfunction in speech, swallowing, and breathing”
- Julia T
“I am the oldest of nine in a close-knit family forever changed by a genetic form of ALS. I have already lost four siblings to this devastating disease, and now I am watching my only surviving sister slowly succumb to it.”
- Maureen
“My mom passed away from ALS in 2010. My greatest wish is that a cure or at very least a successful treatment is one day available for this terrible disease.”
- Michael

Join the movement

From March 13-15, every Bay Club will host activities, events, and ways to support, such as:

  • Donate to support critical ALS research
  • Participate in a curated class or event, or bid in the online auction
  • Share your ALS story and help amplify the voices behind the cause

The weekend culminates with the Augies's Quest Classic on March 16 at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club, honoring the lives and legacies of Rick Caro and Augie Nieto—two extraordinary leaders whose impact our industry and ALS community continues to inspire.
