Join Margaret as she leads you through an introduction to Tai Chi and Qigong. Tai Chi is a sequence of slow movements that strengthen the legs, improve balance and increase qi or vital energy. Five-Elements Qigong is a practice that has the same benefits, helps harmonize with seasonal energy and is simpler to learn. This ancient art is centering, relaxing and revitalizing.
Margaret Olmsted lives and teaches in Los Angeles, CA where she has been studying and teaching tai chi and qigong, live and online, for over 45 years. In addition to teaching the Yang style short form, she also teaches Push Hands, Sword and Five-Element Qi Gong. She is a Legacy Holder of the Tai Chi Foundation and will be teaching in residential programs in Connecticut and Washington this summer. Please check out her websites www.taichichuanla.com (http://www.taichichuanla.com/) and www.taichifoundation.org (http://www.taichifoundation.org/) for more information.

A yoga flow practice takes participants through various poses, coordinating movement with breath. A flow practice usually includes Sun Salutations, with modifications appropriate to the level of the class. It is a practice that helps to quiet the mind as one stays focused on the movement. It is a practice that connects mind, body, and breath and brings awareness to the natural flow and rhythm of life.
